Open Question: Class Action in ALabama and co-owner won't sign due too personal issues. HELP!?

I am a property owner who is eligible for a settlement in a class action environmental suit. My problem is the co-owner is refusing to sign the "Cash Fund Claim Form" unless I sign the property fully over to him first. Even though this will leave him without the money too.
